Shenzhen Notary Public Office is an independent certification institution established in 1980 pursuant to laws to perform notarial functions. Now it has 167 staffs engaging in notarial services, including 42 notary publics, among whom 34 have acquired intermediate and senior qualification for notary public and 12 have acquired the degree of master of laws, 7 English translators, 1 French translator and 1 Spanish translator. The Notary Public Office provides over 130 items of notarial services and the notarial certificates issued are sent to over 100 countries and regions over the world, which has been generally recognized and accepted.

Over the past years, with the proper leadership of the superior judicial administrative authority and the support of the society, Shenzhen Notary Public Office has made significant progress and development. It has performed plenty of economic and civil notarizations, which have greatly protected the legal interests of the parties concerned, strengthened the international exchange, and made a positive contribution to the legal system construction of the special economic zone, prevention of economic disputes, maintenance of social harmoniousness and stability, improvement of the investment environment of the special economic zone, and promotion of the opening up and economic construction.

Shenzhen Notary Public Office consists of Supervision Office, Administrative Office, Financial Office and 7 notarization offices. Its office area covers over 6,000 square meters and is equipped with modern office equipment. In August 2005, Shenzhen Notary Public Office duly initiated notarization network system which has normalized the notarization process and order and improved the notarization efficiency.

Shenzhen Notary Public Office has launched its new website www.szgz.gov.cn, based on which an online application system is under development and debugging. When the system is completed, for certain notarial services, applicants can visit the website to carry out online notarization application.

The staffs of Shenzhen Notary Public Office will stick to the objective of serving the people wholeheartedly as always, comply with the notarization rules of "legality, objectiveness and justness” and make every effort to “build first-class leadership, construct first-class team and make first-class performance” in order to provide high-quality, efficient and convenient notarial services to the citizens, incorporations and unincorporated organizations as well as compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, overseas Chinese and foreign friends
